HOOPBLITZ 3v3 Tournament Rules
At HoopBlitz, fair play and sportsmanship come first. Each game — whether 5v5, 3v3, or 1v1 — follows clear, structured rules to keep competition fun, safe, and balanced for everyone. Know the rules, respect the game, and play your best every time you hit the court.
- 10-minute games
- Clock stops for free throws and timeouts
- 1 timeout per team
- Overtime: first basket wins
- 2 points for baskets inside the arc
- 3 points for baskets beyond the 3-point line
- Free throws = 1 point each
- No check ball required
- After a made basket: defending team must dribble or pass the ball out to the 3-point line before play is live
- On stoppages: referee inbounds to the offensive team at halfcourt; live once received
- Teams enter bonus after 8 team fouls
- In bonus: opposing team receives 2 free throws (1 point each)
- Technical or flagrant foul = automatic ejection
- Substitutions allowed during any dead ball (when signaled by official)
- Officials may briefly stop play for substitutions or injuries
- Tournament staff reserve the right to ban players for inappropriate behavior
